AB Paterson Auditorium The Byre Theatre Presents
Sleeping Beauty By Johnny McKnight
Beauty is in trouble. It’s her birthday and everyone in the palace is acting crazy. Her best friend Jester is locking all the doors, refusing strangers’ entry to her party and keeps muttering that nobody will ever love her like he could. Prince Charming is, frankly, alarming - slapping his thigh and declaring it his destiny to marry her even though she’s only known him 5 minutes. If that wasn’t bad enough Fairy Contrary is refusing to get out of bed until the day is over.
Will Beauty have her birthday celebrations? Will Jester tell her that he loves her? Will Fairy Contrary ever change out of her nighty-goon? And who is the strange woman lurking outside the palace gates casting a wicked spell on her mighty spinning wheel? So get ready to boo, hiss, laugh and sing with us here at the Byre Theatre for this year's hilarious take on Sleeping Beauty.
Ticket Prices: £8 per school child. 1 teacher/carer free for every 10 tickets. Group discounts available. Public Performances: 1st - 16th £15 (£10) 17th - 30th £17.50 (£10). 1st Preview £10.
