Griselda
Hill Pottery, founded 1985 to revive the production of the
famous and highly collectable Wemyss Ware. The pottery continues
the traditional production of the typical hand painted cats,
pigs and giftware. Shop. Working Pottery andvisitor centre in a
delightful rural Fife setting. Visitor centre offers views of
painters & potters at work and an insight into the history of

Fife
Folk Museum, in the picturesque village of Ceres, offers
something for everyone. Housed in the 17th century tolbooth and
adjoining weaver’s cottage, the collections cover everyday rural
life in Fife and range from farm carts to dolls prams, from
man-traps to mouse traps, from bars of soap to boxbeds and

Visit
the Isle of May on the “May Princess” spend 2 to 3hrs
wandering about on this beautiful National Nature Reserve home
to incredible wildlife which include Puffins, Guillemots,
Razorbill, Shag (April to early Aug. best time for seabirds)
Seals all year round, Dolphins, Whale are often seen. See the
remains of a 6th & 12thC Monastery & the oldest lighthouse in

Scottish Fisheries Museum “It’s Bigger than you think”, with
20 galleries, 18 boats, the age of steam & much more. The whole family will find it
fascinating. The tearoom offers great value light lunches. Open

Cambo Gardens, Kingsbarns.
Victorian walled garden designed around burn, with willow,
waterfall & rose-clad bridges. Naturalistic planting of rare and
interesting herbaceous perennials, bulbs, woodland walks to the
sea carpeted in snowdrops Feb/March. Roses, ornamental potager,
autumn borders, woodland garden with colchicum meadow. ‘All

St Monans Saltpans was established in 1771, with
nine saltpans, a settling tank and windmill pump. Salt was
Scotland’s third most important export in the 17th C; the Forth
basin, with abundant coal supplies and direct shipping routes to
Northern Europe, was ideal for production. Site open all year
with free entry. Windmill open July to Aug, 12n to 4pm daily.
Sept to June obtain keys from Spar shop or P.O. (£5 deposit) in

The
Museum of Abernethy. The Museum is housed in an 18th century
building which originally consisted of a byre, stable and cattle
rede. Some of the original features, the stone walls and a
section of cobbles, have been retained. The Museum aims to
preserve as much as possible of the varied and extensive history
of Abernethy through the collection of artefacts, oral history
and photographs. The Museum is located on School Wynd . Open
from mid May until the end of September Thurs. to Sun. 1 to 5pm.

The
Laing Museum. Discover a treasure on the Tay. This small
local history museum was built with money bequeathed in 1896 by
local banker, Alexander Laing. It houses his museum collection
and fine reference library as well as exhibits about Newburgh’s
history from medieval burgh to maritime and industrial town.
Open April to Sept 12n to 5pm daily; Oct to Mar viewing by appt
